As it’s time to refresh your wardrobe with some cool new pieces for the new season, we bring you the best trends for fall, winter 2016/17.
Summer was super kind to us this year, but we still can’t forget that fall is just around the corner. While I enjoyed wearing shorts in mid September, I am so looking forward to (slightly) colder days that will allow me to add more layers to my outfits. Before going shopping for some new pieces, we bring you trends for fall, winter 2016/17 that we just can’t resist.
Think pink
Fall collections can sometimes be a bit gloomy with dominant grey tones. Break the cloudy mood with some pink tones. From Chanel, Gucci, Dior to Jil Sander, designers were thinking pink. Wear it head to toe if you’re brave enough, or option for details and accents and live la vie en rose.
Pleats, please
Pleats brought movement to various shows, folding around models’ bodies at CĂ©line, Loewe and Valentino. Pleated skirts and dresses are an easy way to bring elegant simplicity to your everyday look.
Sparkling star
Playing with the light was a common tread this season, ranging from shiny finishes, metallic sequins, palettes to tiny mirror mosaics. Get into the festive mode and be ready to shine bright like a diamond as seen in Gucci, Balenciaga and many other shows.
Statement Fur
With fur coats this season more is definitely more. Make fall colourful with a statement piece that will always cheer you up. Fendi, ChloĂ© and Dsquared2 showed options that went from samurai to boho, so there is something for everyone’s taste.
Tartan/ Satin/ Velvet
Tartan will keep you warm, satin will provide glamour for the night and velvet will bring some retro vibes. We say mix and combine for the best effect.
