Clinique is one of the brands I really trust with face. All the things I tried from them until now worked and I would really recommend it all to my acne prone friends.
I’ve told you before about my love affair with Clinique’s Anti-Blemish kit, this time I come with one of Clinique’s foundations. I have to say that for years now I’ve only used Maybelline and L’Oreal foundations and you know how it is when you find the product that really works for you, it’s quite tough to change it. But for the last month I started doing some research about Clinique foundations and everybody talked so good about them that I decided I have to try one.
I will start by saying I have a mixed type of skin, quite oily on my T-zone, but dry from the half of my cheeks to my ears. After a looong research I understood that Stay Matte Oil-Free foundation was the one for me. Now it was time for a new challenge – choosing the right shade. My skin tone is light and I always have a problem with finding the right shade, it’s either that are too yellowish or they make me look like a ghost. So I went to my beloved Sephora store and I asked for help. The shop assistant agreed with my choice – Stay Matte Oli-Free – for my type of skin, but didn’t on the color. To make a compromise I said I will take the one she recommends only if I can have a little sample with me to try it at home so I could change it if it wasn’t the right one. She agreed with no problems.
When I got home I decided the best way to try it, before taking it for a spin out, was while doing one of Fitness Blender’s workouts. Said and done. At the end of my 30 minutes workout the foundation was still on perfectly! That was the exact moment our bond started.
It has passed a month since I am using it and I noticed I am oil free even after 8 hours. Sometime it may look a bit “mask-y” when I put it on, but if it does so it means I didn’t moisturize enough. From my point of view it’s all about trying to find the right amount of moisture, it will definitely not take more than one week (you might get it even from the start if you know your skin better than I do haha).

It must be super long lasting if it stays on through a workout! I really like Clinique’s products, I find that they really gel well with my acne-prone skin
